The Grange Project venue surrounded by wildflower meadows and countryside views

    The land and venue

A place designed to help people think differently

An 80-acre rewilding landscape in rural Monmouthshire, with the space and rhythm teams need to slow down, reconnect and see more clearly.

    Plan your journey

Wilder Away Days take place at the Grange Project, an 80-acre rewilding landscape in rural Monmouthshire.

This is not a conference venue placed in nature. It is a living landscape undergoing transformation - from former farmland into a diverse mosaic of habitats where natural processes are returning and wildlife is beginning to thrive.

Here, the environment itself changes how people arrive, think, and relate to one another.

Away from offices, screens, and daily pressures, teams experience the rare opportunity to slow down and gain perspective.

    The Grange Project

    A Landscape in Transition

The Grange Project began its rewilding journey in 2023, transitioning from improved agricultural grassland into a place shaped increasingly by nature rather than intensive management.

Across the site, habitats are being restored through pond creation, tree and scrub planting, natural regeneration, and ecological disturbance that encourages biodiversity to return. The long-term vision is to create a landscape that supports wildlife, sustainable food production, education, and human wellbeing alongside one another.

Rather than preserving a fixed version of nature, rewilding allows natural processes to lead - creating a dynamic environment that evolves year by year.

Visitors often notice something shift simply by being here: space opens up, attention widens, and conversations become less constrained.

    Why the Landscape Matters

Nature is not simply a backdrop to the experience - it actively shapes it.

Open views, woodland edges, grassland paths and changing weather conditions help slow the nervous system and reduce the intensity of everyday working environments. Walking conversations replace formal meetings. Silence becomes comfortable. New perspectives emerge.

Many teams discover that discussions which felt difficult indoors become easier outdoors.

The land becomes a quiet co-facilitator - creating the conditions for reflection, honesty, and clearer thinking.

    The Venue

At the heart of the landscape sits our welcoming hub space - part gathering place, part workshop environment, and part shared dining space.

Designed to feel informal yet purposeful, the venue allows teams to move naturally between structured conversation and time outside.

    The space includes:

    • A flexible indoor facilitation and meeting area
    • Large windows overlooking the rewilded landscape
    • Comfortable spaces for small-group conversations
    • Wrap around covered decking offering outdoor space in all conditions
    • Immediate access to walking routes across the land

The rhythm of the day flows easily between indoors and outdoors, allowing energy and attention to reset throughout the experience.

Food from the land at the Grange Project

    Food From the Land

Food is central to the experience.

All catering is prepared on site, with produce sourced from the project's market garden wherever possible. Meals are shared together, creating informal moments where conversations continue naturally and relationships deepen.

Teams frequently describe shared meals as one of the most valuable parts of the day.

A Living Project, Not a Static Venue

The Grange Project exists to reconnect people with wilder nature while demonstrating how land can serve both ecological recovery and human wellbeing.

Alongside away days, the site supports education programmes, volunteering, nature-based enterprises, and community engagement, helping inspire wider participation in nature restoration.

When teams visit, they are stepping into a real project with purpose - not a staged retreat environment. That sense of authenticity often changes how people engage with the experience.

    Optional Overnight Stays

For teams choosing the premium overnight experience, bell-tent accommodation allows the day to extend into a slower evening rhythm.

As daylight fades, conversations continue around shared meals and firelight - often creating deeper connection and reflection than a single working day allows.

Waking to birdsong and open views provides a rare sense of distance from everyday work before teams return refreshed and refocused.

Easily Accessible, Yet a World Away

Located in rural Monmouthshire between Monmouth and Abergavenny, the Grange Project feels deeply removed from urban pace while remaining easily reachable from Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, and London.

Many visitors remark on the contrast: a short journey that creates a genuine sense of stepping outside normal working life.

    Experience the Difference Place Makes

The land is not an added feature of Wilder Away Days - it is fundamental to why they work.

By combining expert facilitation with a living, evolving landscape, we create an environment where teams can pause, reconnect, and move forward with clarity.
