Planning your away day
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about our nature-centred away days, facilities and approach.
How many people can you host?
We host teams of 4 to 20+ people. In our experience, smaller groups allow for more intimate dialogue and deeper connection with the landscape, and for larger groups we can adapt our approach and work with additional facilitators.
What if the weather turns?
We have our beautiful barn conversion and flexible agendas designed to work with whatever weather arrives. Often, different weather conditions offer different opportunities; rain brings a contemplative quality, sunshine opens us up, and wind can energise a group. We'll always keep you comfortable and safe.
Can you cater for dietary needs?
Absolutely. We cater for all dietary requirements with advance notice; vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, and other specific needs. Our meals use local, seasonal ingredients where possible and are prepared fresh on-site using produce from our market garden.
How accessible is your location?
We adapt routes and activities to accommodate different mobility levels and access needs. For more details, please speak with us directly about your team's specific requirements. We're committed to creating inclusive experiences.
Is there mobile signal and Wi-Fi?
Mobile signal can be limited across parts of our site; this helps teams disconnect from the noise and connect with each other. There is open Wi-Fi at the Hub, with separate office space available if required for remote meetings.
What should we bring?
We'll send you a detailed packing list after booking, but essentials include weatherproof clothing, comfortable walking footwear, and layers for changeable conditions. If staying overnight, we provide bedding and basic toiletries for the bell tents.
How do you ensure confidentiality?
All facilitators work to professional standards of confidentiality. What's shared in your retreat stays within your group. We can discuss specific confidentiality agreements if needed for sensitive organisational contexts.
What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that business priorities can shift. We have a fair cancellation policy that allows rescheduling with reasonable notice. Full terms are provided at booking, and we're always happy to work with you to find alternative dates.
Do you offer follow-up support?
Yes, we can provide follow-up sessions to help embed insights and maintain momentum. This might be a virtual check-in after 6-8 weeks, or additional coaching support for leaders. We tailor follow-up to what would be most valuable for your team.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 6-12 weeks in advance, especially for overnight retreats or specific seasonal preferences. However, we can often accommodate shorter notice bookings depending on availability.
What makes your approach different from other retreat providers?
We combine qualified psychological and systemic expertise with deep knowledge of facilitating in natural environments. Our 80-acre rewilding site provides an authentic connection to landscape, not just a countryside venue. We also focus on practical outcomes, not just feel-good experiences.
